- Authorized 3 November 1923 for the 1st Gas Regiment, never redesignated for the 1st Chemical Regiment but worn by that unit until inactivated. Rescinded 27 February 1957.

-Authorized for 301st Gas Regiment on 9 June 1926, redesignated for 301st Chemical Regiment on 29 March 1930. Samples approved 23 November 1926, rescinded 21 January 1959.

-Authorized 11 March 1927 for 302d Gas Regiment, redesignated 29 March 1930 for 302d Chemical Regiment. Samples approved 2 July 1927, rescinded 27 January 1959.
