ASMIC:
Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a Blue hexagon, one point up, a Green diagonal band angled in the direction taken by the Panama Canal, fimbriated Or, overall a Gold dragon statant.
Symbolism: The tinctures of the background and the dragon are the colors of the Chemical Corps. The diagonal band represents the Panama Canal, the district to which the organization was assigned, while the dragon is taken from the coat of arms of the 1st Gas Regiment.
Background: The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 1st Chemical Company on 6 February 1930. It was redesignated for the 22d Chemical Company on 23 November 1965. The insignia was redesignated for the 22d Chemical Battalion with the description updated on 29 October 2004.

- On a white hexagon, bordered medium blue, a black skunk, lined and detailed silver, holding in left paw a red wrench, between, in chief three stars above the Chemical Corps insignia, all silver except benzene ring is blue, and in base blue scroll inscribed 13TH CHEMICAL CO in silver.

- Authorized 6 February 1930 for the 1st Chemical Company. Redesignated 23 November 1965 for the 22nd Chemical Company. (Note: Recently redesignated for 22nd Chemical Battalion. Placke)
